The semester is weeks, maybe days to being over.
Papers need to be written.
Projects need to be completed.
Tests need to be studied for.
You have a choice.
The ball is in your hands.
What will you do?
Students – it is game time! The semester is almost over. Some of you just looked at your GPA and realize you need a big finish, some of you made list of everything that has to be done between now and the end of the semester and your only hope is immediate cloning, and some of you have already decided that you will settle for the lower grade and try harder next semester.
Growing up there was nothing like that moment in the locker room right before the game started. We had practiced hard and we knew we were made for the game. Adrenaline rose. Finally, we stepped out onto the court. We sized up the opposition. And then each of us individually and together had to make a decision on how we were going to play.
Students, I don’t know where you find yourself as you enter the end of the semester, but I encourage you to remember it is game time for this semester. There is no tomorrow, today is the day.
Students it is game day. You just had a good view of the opponent that lies ahead of you. What do you choose?
Don’t listen to regret of not doing something sooner or having a better current grade. Don’t listen to the voice that you can’t do it. Don’t fall to the lie that you don’t need to invest anymore and you will just deal with whatever grade you get. Don’t sell yourself short. These decisions you make during game day will define your character, your future.
Need some encouragement, read Romans 5:1-5.
